These Coupons May Not Bring Me in “Oprah” But…
I confess. Women who can save significant amounts of money on their grocery bills using coupons continue to impress me.
As my mom subscribes on magazines like “Good Housekeeping” and “Ladies Home Journal”, there would be another article about a woman who performed magic while shopping using discount coupons to come out. I clearly remember the photographs from one such article. A woman, stretching her smile wide from one ear to the other, was pushing one brimming grocery cart. Then her husband, standing between two more carts, was pushing one while pulling the front of the other. She lifted her long receipt of all that she had purchased with full confidence- all three full carts- for just $20.
Mom was fascinated and got inspired. Some Sundays, she cut nearly every coupon out of the newspaper. But most of the time, she would just clip the coupon here and there then use them if she happens to remember.
Yet she always talked about how she, too, was fascinated by the women who shopped with coupons like high-rollers in Vegas. However, I actually was not that impressed. What I meant was shopping with coupons must take a lot of time out of each day,right? There needs to be time to find them, cut them out, sort them, put them in some sort of filing system, and then retrieve them when it’s time to go shopping.
Now that I’m grown and raising my own family, I thought I would give it a try. Frankly, the whole process was overwhelming.
Then I found a web site that can make my search easier when I was about to give up. SaveGroceryCoupons.com switched on the convenient work for me. This web site provides frequent updates on name brand coupons and free trials. Now, finding coupons has been a lot easier compared to the flipping process on the Sunday newspaper each week.
I just took advantage of a $4.00 rebate on the “Monsters vs. Aliens” DVD just for buying two family-sized boxes of Hostess baked goods, which will make a great Christmas present for my kids.
storeGroceryCoupons.com is a web site run by Lisa Murphy offering tips on via coupons to store cash on food and household stuffss.
