Both moves will improve your credit score and your creditworthiness in the eyes of the lender. The higher your credit score, the better rate you will be offered on your home loan.

Lenders also require a direct deposit and reserves. A direct deposit is made at the beginning of the loan and usually amounts to 8-10% of the total value of the property.
